Welcome to Seligman Massage!

Due to the 2019-2020 outbreak of the coronavirus, COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions with the intake of each client, health history review, as well as sanitation and disinfecting practices.  I am limiting the number of clients to two maximum per day to keep us both safe.

Only after screening and taking a temperature will clients be allowed to enter the office.  Both you and I will be masked except you can take it off when you are faced down.

About us:

We are a professional massage clinic specializing in therapeutic massage and cupping.  Cupping is an ancient technique that uses suction to pull the layers of tissue apart, helping your body to eliminate toxins and stagnant blood. When "dragging cupping" is combined with deep tissue massage, the affect includes lasting local pain relief and muscle relaxation.

We strive to quickly and accurately identify the source of your pain and then to treat it properly and effectively. We are highly trained in multiple modalities, ensuring that we have the skills necessary to help alleviate your body’s tension and pain. We know the same therapy isn’t right for every client, so we take the time to go over your history and tailor a session that meets your specific needs.

We are able to do a relaxing full body session or focus treatments on individual problem areas, devoting the time, attention, and expertise needed to provide real relief.

We provide a clean, safe, comfortable environment that accords you and your body the stress-free, healing space required for wellness. If our pressure isn’t ‘just right’, please let us know.

For therapeutic bodywork in a professional office suite, call or text today.    415-377-3011

Outcalls available for a two session minimum and also includes and extra charge.

No online booking available.

"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
 you touch everything.

- Lao Tzu

Therapeutic massage releases chronic muscle tension, using deliberate strokes and direct pressure. When muscles are stressed, they block the flow of oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. A massage helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins, and restores proper blood and oxygen circulation. It's important to drink plenty of water before and after a therapeutic session to help flush the toxins out of the body.

Cupping therapy involves creating a suction force on the skin, pulling toxins to the surface giving your lymphatic system a chance to eliminate it.  The benefits of cupping include local pain relief and muscle relaxation.  Cupping is said to improve overall health.  For athletes, cupping may help increase blood flow and reduce recovery and pain. Cupping can leave round red or purplish marks that will fade in a few days or at most a couple weeks.

Whether you’re an elite athlete or “weekend warrior”, sports massage is an important part of your healthcare regimen. Sports massage prevents injuries and loss of mobility, helps heal and restore mobility to injured muscle tissue, and boosts performance. Physically, sport massage flushes out toxins and waste products and helps oxygen and nutrients flow, helping tissues to recover more quickly.

We provide sport-specific therapies as well as information about avoiding injury and maximizing performance through stretching routines, home therapies, and improved body awareness. If you are training for an event, we will develop a treatment plan to ensure your body is ready on race day. If you receive regular sports massages while active, you will extend your sporting career.

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle approach that taps into the cerebrospinal rhythm (cranial wave) to locate and release restrictions in body function. Craniosacral therapy addresses head, neck, and back injuries, and stress-related disorders such as: insomnia, fatigue, headaches, poor digestion, anxiety, temporal-mandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, and whiplash.
